Dakar 2010

GOALS REACHED

Una By the end of this 2010 rally we were more than happy with our team’s results.

In the truck category these were our results:

8º	David Oliveras / Daniel Cámara / Jesús Cámara (MERCEDES)
9º	Jordi Juvanteny /JL Criado / Fina Roman (MAN) and 1st  in the 6x6 category
11º	Manuel Borrero / Jesús Borrero / Juanjo Caamaño (MAN)
19º	Gonzalo Asurmendi / Alberto Herrero (MAN)

We have reached a goal that few teams can say they have in such a tough edition of the rally: we reached the finish line in Buenos Aires with 100% of our team.  It goes without saying that our mechanics, drivers, co-drivers and technicians have had to work extremely hard to reach this goal, but at the end of the day this effort has been worthwhile.

In the car category , Epsilon-Team  was assisting the Brazilian Klever Kolberg, Reinaldo Varela and Sven Fischer, but due to mechanical problems in their Mitsubishis they had to pull out of the race in the stage 3 arriving in Fiambalá.

In the motorbike category, our best representative has been the young up and coming driver Joan Pedrero that reached 10th position of the general race with his KTM 690.

52º	Pedro Peñate (KTM)

We regret that our colleague Rafa Císcar (HONDA) had to pull out of the 5th stage of the race because of a minor back injury.

In the Quad bike category  Joan Manuel González “Pedregà” (YAMAHA) won a well-deserved 3rd place. He had to fight against all kinds of tricks set by his direct rivals. In our view he is the true winner of this Dakar.

We are now waiting to pick up our vehicles from Le Havre on the 22nd of February, and we hope that we will soon find out which country will have the honour of hosting this magnificent race in 2011.
