DAKAR 2011: LE HAVRE, ETAPA 0

Yesterday Last week in Le Havre (France), first steps towards the start of the 2011 Dakar Rally. Only technical checks (basically navigation systems), and then, shipping of all European vehicles towards Buenos Aires.

In the 2011 edition, this will be the EPSILON TEAM assisted vehicles:

# 64 – Pedro Peñate (KTM 690)
# 156 – Jorge Gómez (BMW 450)
# 158 – José Garcia (BMW  450)
# 169 – Ignacio Chivite (Bultaco 370)

In the car category:
# 322 – Garland/Suzuki (Isuzu)
# 371 – Hanggoro/Yudha (Mitsubishi Epsilon Indonesia)
# 390 – Ciscar/Machi (Isuzu)

In the truck category:
# 514 – Oliveras/Camara/Camara (Mercedes Epsilon Team)
# 517 – Juvanteny/Criado/Roman (MAN - KH-7)
# 551 – Sabate/Cañis (Mercedes Epsilon Team)
# 559 – Depping/Van Obbergen (MAN - VW Mortorsport)
# 560 – Verbist/Damen (MAN – VW Motorsport)
# 561 – Servia/Debeugny (Mercedes – Team Dessoude)
# 574 – Rickler/Totani (Iveco – Rallyart)

All these vehicles will be assisted by 6 Mercedes 8x8 assistance trucks and by 15 people in total including mechanics, press, logistics and team coordination.
